Other than money, I dont see a reason not to.
If the block will hold it, I'll turn the wick up. Most of the 393 stroker cranks I see are cast, which I think should be fine to around the 700hp mark. The rods I am looking at are eagle h beams rated to 1200 with arp rod bolts.

Of course I'm talking wheel hp, not flywheel.

Even in a budget build id always choose more cubes. Turbos are a great equalizer to cubes but both ='s better.

I was working on a 1k+ turbo 351 last weekend, we're measuring bearing sizes to swap the stock cast crank out to a forged. If the thrust bearing hadn't failed, it would still be running the cast OEM crank.

Ill have to look a bit closer, honestly. Some things are changing since it is apart.

one thing that is changing is the intake. It was a vic jr spyder, and the power at low RPM's just wasnt there. Like, not enough to spin the tires for a burnout. Turbo's dont care is a false statement.

What intake is he changing it out for?

I was worried about a spyder intake taking the low end away.

                      Hmm

                        Not sure at the moment.

you can spyder many diffenent intakes, if you choose to. All the Typhoon intakes and most of the newer edel's have the bung casting there, it's just a matter of having them cut.

Correct my thinking if I'm wrong, but given I don't want to spend forged crank money, when it comes to cast cranks, wouldn't a stock stroke be stronger and easier on the rotating assembly, ie piston speed.

Keep in mind this motor is going to start off with small heads with 1.94 valves and 59cc chambers, I was thinking of using the 218/228 cam I have, but it may be to far from ideal.

                            Thoughts?

Once I get something like that modified I'm in the used tfs r range, which would have plenty low end.

                              Got a tfs r for 450, lol

I have been tossing the idea of selling my balanced, forged crank, h beam forged piston 358...fresh...may be out of the price range though
