Stock internals hold 750? Or will I need to upgrade?

Obviously it isn't ideal, hmm maybe a super budget boost friendly build. I don't need anything fancy like a stroker.

but at the end of the day, why not go buy a 460, build some headers, and throw a cheap old big turbo on it with a blowthrough. look at the onjacksbuild.. that was pretty straight forward.

you're not gonna set the world on fire, and you're obviously commited to this car. cut it up and make it what you want it to actually be.

I want a turbo small block ford.

I was hung up on a 8.2, but the 9.5 is so much smarter

Will a stock 351w really be that much of a turd? Even with proper ring gap?
I've got a complete 6.0 and transmission from my 01 2500hd I'm about to pull complete with harness computers and all accessories for $1800

Not a bad deal, but no thanks. To build that 4l80 and add a stall would be too rich for my blood.

Brooks ran his hatchback with a 351 stock rods and crank and made 788 to the wheels and I think he ran it for around 2 years

He said when he pulled the motor apart some of the rods had a nice bend to them

Plan is, find a 351 roller or non roller, put a decent set of rods and Pistons, keep it stock stroke, and keep the stock crank. Arp hardware w/ arp1000 rod bolts, with a single turbo kit.

The bg kit looks nice, and for 2500 it's comes with a way better turbo and overall everything looks great, my only issue is the exhaust runs right over the header on the passengers side, looks like plug changes will suck and plug wires would burn.

I like the idea of front fender exit, any current kits offer that out of the box, or is that something I'll need some one to fab up?

Have someone local build you a kit.

That's how the On3 kit was on my 87. It was pretty easy to disconnect the V-band and move the downpipe out of the way. Of course, I didn't have anything connected beyond the downpipe either.

I pull my down pipe out to change the plugs on my passenger side. I've got a on3 kit. Mine fits under the stock good but I have 2" drop motor mounts. Mike not sure if you'll be interested but my kit on my car might be for sale soon. Brooks is making me a new turbo kit for my car.

One of the guys here (Corey) has a 351w with a spider intake under a stock 85/86 hood. You have to run the low profile elbow though.
