  • Good Dyno shop?

Good DFW dyno shops? Looking to do a pull this weekend maybe and then one in a few weeks after I install my headers on the Miata. Any good reasonable ones in Dallas, the closer to the south side the better. I was going to stay stock but a vendor hooked me up and nobody hates 30hp or so. Not a whole lot of stock numbers on my SC set up so it should be a very interesting before and after.

Anyone work at Dallas Mustangs and can hook a brother up? I need one pull now and one pull after I try this proto header just for comparison. I can sneak in stealthily so no one will see a Miata in the shop!

I use redline in Arlington after Travis at Gearheads lost his shit on me. Redline is an import place but they were cool with me, dynojet, $50 if you know how to operate the dynojet.

Hmmm I didn't see them earlier when searching. Thanks. Do they do alignments by chance? I got to nail down my ride height in the morning and then do that also.

For suspension work I would absolutely go to Texas Track Works, great guys, and if you tell them you are from DFWM they will probably hook you up too.

I was going to drive the hour out there today and located a freaking shop at the end of my street that was like bring it on we can do it no problem. We will see how they do and than I may take it there. Worth a shot and they seemed like a competent crew. 2.5 front camber and 2.0 rear with the absolute minimum toe he could set on both.

I tried calling Redline but no answer. I am trying to figure out a check engine light since adding the gauges. Thought it was my new boost gauge but it may turn out to be the Scangauge2. Getting a P2096. I ran it the other day with my Ecutek and no boost gauge and got no lights. So I figured it was the boost gauge. Plugged the SG2 back in today and the light came on almost immediately. Bizarre

Guys did a good job down the street for 80.00. 2.6 front and 2.1 rear with .03 toe on the rears and .08 on the fronts. Caster 6.5. Drove fairly well.

Good call on the guy at Redline. I had to pay 10 more because they had just rolled a s2000 on the dyno and had to pull it. A little disappointed. 202 HP 168 TQ temps 101 degress and 20 percent humidity. I think one of the other guys pulled a bit less with the auto also. I bet the header gives it 30 hp. Guys said they could throw that on in an hour for 100.00. I wont lie that is tempting if they do good work. Looked like the fast and the furious around there.

Glad to hear it! I have no idea on the quality of work from Redline, I've only used the dyno there, they seemed pretty cool to deal with. The only shop I would trust to touch my car is Texas Track Works based on my experience with them and others. Can you post your dyno sheet?

Let me guess. Another advertiser (at the time) that couldn't handle seeing some negative feedback about their shop.

Also, I may have a bit of a cat issue. We will see when I pull the manifold. My first tuner ran her really rich a few times. He destroyed another guys aftermarket pipe with cat. Mine had a weird sound and smell to it. The sound went away but it has always had a weird smell. I am getting the code P2096 just out of the blue and that's with the gauges un hooked. My log looks fine so I am curious if the second 02 is fouled from a tweaked cat. It runs fine, maybe it just needs a tweak on the tune some. It was tuned late at night with temps in the 50's and 60's.

Not quite. I used his dyno and we had an agreed price/value, then I told him he was behind on his advertising bill and he got pissed and more than doubled the fee to use the dyno, I went to redline and they gave me the same price as Travis before the price hike. He was always real shitty with me when I talked to him, on the other hand his guy Matt was great to deal with. I pissed him off when I told him he could be the only "shop" on the board, it was very early on and a mistake on my part to limit this place to a single shop, I told him I fucked up and gave him some free advertising and a discounted price for the deal and I allowed HPP to also advertise here, he told me he thought it was pretty shitty of me but I did what I could with the free advertising and discounted price.

No one here appears to want to support the advertisers, we left the True Street thread here for everyone to see, Clint didn't want to hide behind anything, then the fucktards on here would take a stab at them every single time they would post, i'd tell DFWM to fuck off too after that bullshit. Other places have had nothing but trouble from the clients on this site, so they left too, good game!

What do those thing make for power stock? 166tq just seems low to me, but I guess it is pretty small motor.
