Car will always stall within 1 - 2 minutes of starting and is starting with no less than 30 degrees on the balancer, any attempt with the spout out to retsrd the timing down any degree will stall and engine dies out if we let it sit with that high degree it will also stall and die out

Also, before you spend $$ on a balancer just get one from the local auto parts store and verify its the same or different, return that pos and get a steel sfi balancer from summit or ford racing.

My summit one took a dump, guy who had it before me raced on it and well as I, and you could spin the outside ring like a bearing on the rest of the balancer, I too was wondering why my timing light was showing different degrees every time and would never run worth a damn at 10* base.

If it all checks out to be fine, then you may have the cam in wrong, because the ECM/TFI doesn't control anything with the spout disconnected, the spout closes the circuit for it to operate. So at that point it's a mechanical issue.

I'll see how to get the videos available we have one or two we took to post up on Facebook here in el pasos local forums. The cam was never taken out from this point the car ran fine for 8 years died one day driving found a extremely loose timing chain replaced entire electrical and balancer and chain put all back together and this is where we are at. Replacement for everything was followed exactly by the books, key marks matching firing order verified its all been done by the book

No sir, starts now with a zero base but still way to high on the timing and won't go down below 30 without stalling also stalls out about a minute into running car is for sale here in el paso not dumping anything further into besides the balancer and EEC relay tomorrow and if she don't fire so be it

Sounds like a bad distributor to me.

I have no idea of your mods. If it involved HCI then I would bet you have a vacuum

That was gonna be my next suggestion. Big vac leak. Needs a lot of timing to run with no vacuum.

Thanx guys I started reading a bunch about vaccum leaks and found a thread some guys from corral or stang net whatever it was having identical problems with a 390, turned out to be bent valves and worn out cam lobes on top of one or two other things
Long story short this ponie will be put out into the sunset I'm not a "baller" cars probably gonna get parted out way to many good parts on it to make some money back
