I'm picking up a coupe this weekend and I'm tossing with the idea of doing a Ls1 build... I really would like to go with a 5 speed, but not Sure on all the parts I'll need... as far as wiring goes, Do I just buy an ls1 with harness or?? Any input Will be much appreciated Cause I know nothing of this swap...

aje makes a good k member and trans x
dynatech and kooks make good swap headers
th350 works with stock driveshaft (w/conversion u-joint and 27spline yoke) other trans will require lengthening/shortening
you can buy a converted harness for 800 or so, if you are decent with electronics you can re-pin a take-off harness
4th gen fbody radiator is pretty much a bolt in
a/c, power steering, etc. will require some fabrication
it is fairly straight forward, there will be quite a bit of modification to get it done though. just be aware that it is not a drop in deal.

Like dville_gt said, its fairly straight forward, but instead of snatching up those kooks, id try to get some 351w headers, and LS flanges and make some LTs like that. Check out LS1tech.com under the conversion section, you will find a lot of those cars w LS motors in them.Last edited by sosoe; 02-08-2011, 05:10 PM.
