  • Can the Ford pats system be bypassed like Chevys?

    I know on GM products you cut a wire to the transponder ring and instal a toggle switch. Can a ford be bypassed the same way?

    no, you have to disable it electronically in the ECM.

      If you have a spare key, you can tape it to the transponder ring and then hide it somewhere in the column. At least that's what I've heard, never actually tried it.

          Its not mine. Friend of mines truck wont start and he's a broke ass.

            Sucks to be him then. If he pissed off the PATS system by using the wrong key, it's going to be a tuner or the ford house.

              Theft light flashes when he tries to start it. Worked fine until he went to the store.
