I have a limited knowledge of automobiles, and there are a few things I would never try to do myself.

Building an engine, is on the top of that list.

      Just my .02.

What the fuck do you expect? As was mentioned by someone else, you received plenty of solid advice the first time you asked for it and you ignored what everyone said and fucked yourself over, then you pissed off all the local shops with your impatience and slander. Now you say you have all the time in the world and are going to build it yourself? Go buy a complete running car and enjoy. What you were wanting to build was nothing crazy or unusual and you could probably buy a whole car for a little more than your motor, blower setup and shop labor was going to cost you.
A man's got to know his limitations.

            Thx.
You have already made a critical mistake and don't even have the pistons. Actually, THAT is the mistake.

You can not CORRECTLY machine a block without the pistons in hand. Especially considering you don't know what pistons to get, what material they are, or what they're going to be used for.

Just tell him to got buy a short block already built. Contact MMR and buy one of their build shortblocks and be done with it.

He already bought one from Granatelli and fucked it up so I don't think that will help him either.

                            Dude.

It doesn't matter what pistons you want. What matters is the size of the pistons you end up with - you can't hone a block properly without the EXACT piston you are using.

You can get a batch of 100 pistons and very few of them will match each other. Not to mention, you have no idea what the size of the skirt is in the first place.

                            You have a crank ground .100" ????
