  • 5.4 3v timing chain and phasers

Who on here can replace the phasers and timing chain on a 06 Navigator/ F150?
How much labor should that run?

the problem with a phaser job is that in a lot of cases there is an underlying problem, the oil feed to the phaser. this can cause the issue to reoccur. Ford released a bulletin about filter media causing this and lack of oil changes can do this too. I can do them, but its possible it will happen again at some point. What is the mileage on the truck in question?

The navigator in question has 184000 miles. The timing chain just has play in it the tensioner and guides are worn. I had Brenspeed look at it and technically the phasers are ok.
