  • Good machine shop for head work ?

Wanting to have some work done to my heads, they're aluminum Brodix st 5.0rs.

Wanting a GOOD valve job, decked or milled, new guide seals and springs installed.

    Where is a GOOD place?

I've heard mixed things on NTX machine, and in comparison thier prices are high.

What kind of money do you guys spend on this kind of work? I was thinking around 300$ -$400

How soon do you need it always effects the price.

I used Wells Cylinder Heads in midlothian.

              They build motors too.

Just go to Calverts. They do everything but porting and they have a hookup for that if you want it.
It has been a few years since I had them rework a set of heads but at that time it was about $250. I would expect $300 or so today as long as none of the valves or springs need replacing.

Dennis Wells racing engines, Duncanville, ask for David, he does the heads.

The usual list of machine shops suggested on here is missing Arlington machine shop.

Thats weird weekly we take him ls engines, modular engines, have a bbf and a sbc there right now. I do know he stays pretty busy building engines for dallas performance lambo and t1 skyline engines. I think he stays busy enough he can pick a d choose what he wants to work on.
