Removing spot welds

Whats the fastest way to do this w/o harming the "good" panel?
Putting a cage in a miata and it was a bitch removing some spot welded stuff. And I tore a bunch of holes in the underpanel.

Ive used one like this before.

You can also grind them and use a air chisel.

I'm using the harbor freight ones, but stock up! i am only getting like 5 welds cut before its burned up.

Yeah, not looking good for ECR, the car he got had major subframe/crash structure damage and I emailed John about it passing, he said no way, we had to get another chassis and swap everything, and build the cage, I am closing on my house Mar 2nd so the timing is rough.

Lighten up on your pressure, you should see A LOT more.

slow, medium, or high speed when cutting?

i do medium speed, but i will admit i was using a lot of pressure cause i was trying to hurry up. i'll lighten up next time i get out there.

Kind of medium speed, medium pressure. Hard to judge on the internet but if you are burning the cutters, you are going too fast or pressing too hard. Remember to let the "saw" do the work.

And if possible, cutting fluid is always a plus.
