  • Reusing rollers lifters ???

Any reason not to resuse these lifters ? They were in the car about 3 years. Approx 12-15k. Several trips to the track. Been sitting 3 years. I pulled the motor because oil pressure dropped to 25lbs. Ended up having a cracked pick up tube. I didn't drive it after OP dropped.

These are what I have. Trying to not spend the money ifmo don't need to.

    Thanks

Ps: same cam, different heads. New Heads have a lighter valve train than the old one

I've always heard you can reuse them with no issues. I would run them as long as they are clean.

Ive never had to replace a set, clean them up, soak in oil and put them back in.

Run them as long as you look them over and soak them before dropping them in. Also when you prime the block watch for equal amounts of oil coming from the top of the pushods.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

Clean and inspect them along with the cam really good. If no issues found, run em.

I fully disassembled mine and soaked in Chen dip, they are brand new looking now, inside and out.

reused many times, never a lifter failure, 150lbs at the seat.

Check to make sure the roller bearing rolls smooth and there is no pitting on the bearing surface and you should be good.

Thank for the info guys , that's what I was wanting to know. Money is kinda tight right now and didn't want to spend the $250 for liters if I didn't have to.

                  Thanks
