92 lx coup throwing code 66

I have a 92 lx coup i just dropped a new motor in and it keeps popping threw the intake and surges back and forth real bad while driving at about 1500-2000rpm ,it does not seem to be running lean,fuel pressure is correct.Code 66 says mass air flow sensor below voltage/car running in limp mode ive tested the mass air and it reads correct voltage but keep in mind my car only pops when im barely easing in to it only while driving if i get on it it does not pop.If anyone has dealt with this before please shoot me some ideas

my 89 gt did the same thing..it wascalled a lean pop..put new injectors in it and it was fixed...just a thought

Give us some more info on the combo. what kind of mass air is it? Do you have one you can borrow from someone?

Alot of times a tune can work out the lean tip in. Its more common of an issue than you think.

My old junk would always do that around 2-3k a little more fuel there and all was well.

Code 66 is the code for SLOW.
