  • Anyone ever re-route A/C condenser lines?

My radiator sits right up against the existing lines, and while putting everything back together this weekend I put a little too much pressure on one and caused a leak. So now I get to replace the condenser, but I want to see if I can accomplish two things. I'd like to reroute the lines to a better position, as well as get rid of those stupid ass spring lock fittings. Anyone ever done anything like this? Not even sure where to start.

    87GT btw

I saw a guy just reroute his on a 65 fastback. He used Hosefast in Garland to fab everything. It looked great. I'd tap them for options.

You could use a condenser from another vehicle and convert the lines to whatever you want to use. Keep in mind that a condenser can see 400+ psi of pressure at times though, you can't hold that with a hose clamp. If you have a tig or know how to braze aluminum it wouldn't be that hard to do. Or get a conversion hose made.
