power steering

on my 1998 honda civic beater. power steering has been working fine since i bought the car. had to move the bottle a few inches out of the way to change a headlight bulb, and now i have no power steering, and the pump is making noise. no leaks, and has adequate fluid.

what the fuck? any ideas?

Does the pump hold fluid, is the hose kinked maybe?

No kinks or leaks. I'm leaning towards air pocket or crud from the bottle getting lose and impeding adequate fluid to the pump. The car has 210k miles and I can only assume the fluid is prob just as old
