My 93 GT hasn't wanted to start as of yesterday. Last week, when I would go turn the vehicle on, I would just get a single click coming for the fender starter solenoid. Id try to turn it on again and the same thing would happen. I would wait a couple minutes and the car would fire up.
Well now, it seems to have finally gone out as of last night. So I replaced the fender starter solenoid, thinking it was bad but it did it again and didn't want to start. I replaced the ignition switch and again, it would just make one click on the starter solenoid and didn't want to start. Im getting juice to everything on the vehicle and lights are bright. Both battery and upgraded 3g alternator are fairly still new. I went ahead and checked the battery but that is still good.
So now, I have yet to replace the starter. Being that it is a high torque mini starter, my question is how often does the solenoid on the starter go bad? I say this because Oreilly's sells the solenoid on the starter separate rather than paying for the whole starter + solenoid as one?
