The rears have millimeters worth of clearance from the quarter panel. If I take a corner without slowing, the outer wall of the tire will rub the fender lip.

Suggestions on rolling that in??? Never done that before.

I have always liked the '64-65 Malibu 4 doors for some reason and thought it would be cool to have one as a daily driver.

For the rear fender lip, you could either roll the lip using the baseball bat method, you could use a hammer and slowly work the lip in, or you could just take a grinder with a cutoff wheel and take it down.

It definitely needs to be lower though, without a doubt.

Rick Steinke's "Honk If Parts Fall Off" 1967 Chevelle Malibu runs 8.60's at the track and sees the occasional street lap. Look inside at this piece of owner-built ingenuity.

                          • Ok. Trying to still trouble shoot this hard starting bs. I haven't driven her in a few days and came out today and noticed that the fuel was no longer in the clear fuel filter. As if it drained back towards the mechanical pump. Is this indication of a bad pump diaphragm? I go to start it (4 pumps of the gas first) and it just turns over with a few hiccups. Took several times before it fired off.

                            • It could probably use a new pump, can you park it with the ass end higher? See if it drains then, if so it'll need a new pump but atleast those are cake to change.
