  • bluetooth sucks

Anyone agree? I dont know what the deal is but I never can keep it working. Just give it time and it will always fail. 4 different vehicles with 4 different systems i have observed doing this. My truck, and my gas saver, wife's car, buddys truck. My truck has the factory ford stuff in it. Wifes car has some kind of aftermarket navigation unit with the bluetooth built in.

Same for my work car gas saver but its a different unit. And my buddys truck has the factory chevy stuff. So we have two factory units here and two different aftermarket units. Me and the wife use android phones, friend uses Iphone.

The weird thing is that it seems to die over time. It will start with not wanting to connect every once in awhile. Then it gets worse and worse until it just fails altogether. This is in each of these vehicles. And of course no description of any type of problem on the screen. Oh no never that. Cause then you might be able to fix it! WTF

Oh and to be clear these are all the built in type of deal. None of these are those separate bluetooth units, like parrot or the rest. I havent tried those

I've never had an issue. I have an iphone 4S and it syncs to our two Fords and all the rental cars I go through.

You mobile device is the problem. How is that not obvious with so many vehicles having a problem?

My wife's SYNC works fine and so does mine, but since I don't like having my radio cut off, I just use my ear piece while driving.

you may have some mode or app that disables bluetooth on low battery level of the phone

There are 3 phones in my scenario, two different samsung models and an iphone.

Mine does weird things on occasion. Like I'll take a call and pandora will play while in the call, even though it disconnected from the stereo system. It will also say connected and no sound thing through the sync. Only does that in my F250, my aftermarket deck in my 350 doesn't do that.

Don't know. It happened when I was listening to some old R&B and of course a chick calls and bump and grind was playing through the phone speaker.
