Piston/Valve Clearance

I like to say thanks to everyone that has help me so far! My very first motor to put together and nervous as hell putting her together lol

New Question. Im getting close to putting the heads on and worried about PV clearance. Stock block pistons do have 4 cut out reliefs. Im putting on Trick flow 170 Twisted wedge heads, and gonna be using a Trick Flow Track Max Roller Stage 1 with 1.6 roller rockers. Gonna be using a 9333 headgasket. Should I be okay with this setup?

IIRC, you need a minimum of .060 clearance between the piston and valves. You'll want to double check that measurement though.

I'm not familiar with the process. I've read to use modeling clay to check. This is my first motor to put together by myself lol

I think that's the same setup I have with 1.6 RR. Mine was fine. I remember being nervous too. Did you replace the cam plate? Did you check clearance on it? I didn't and it cost me.

Doing my piston clearance now. Ive done this process twice and want to make sure im doing it right? Am using a solid lifter. None of the valve even touch the clay. I have timing stock.
