Anyone done a V6 to 350 swap in a '99 up GM truck?

So here's my dilemma. I have an 03 GMC V6 truck, I had done some research and thought that it would be easier to swap a Vortec 350 into it because of the similarities between it and the 4.3 V6.

So I have an engine, harness, ecm, & trans out of a '99 Chevy van to do the swap but the more I've looked into it the ecm in my truck has a different connector than the 350 harness so I can't use the 350 harness and reflash my ecm. And it looks like modifying my V6 harness to work with the 350 ecm is out of the question because I dont think the gauge cluster in my truck will work then but idk.

If anyone has done this swap before or can point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. Otherwise it looks like I will be selling the 350 and looking for a wrecked '99 up GM truck.

Oh, and yes I know it would be easier to buy a V8 truck but I haven't found what I'm wanting so for now I'm keeping what I have.

A lot of guys on s10forum have done similar. Good thing is you can re use your trans.

I found that board last night, just didn't have enough time to cruise it before bed. Thanks for the link I will get in touch with him.

What research I was able to do today at work, I was able to find out that if one could come across a '02 Express or Savana with a 350, everything wiring / ecm wise is a direct swap for a '03 pickup i believe. GM switched to the LS style ecm with 350 programming in '02 for the vans which is the same ecm my truck currently has just 4.3 programming.

The '99 Express I bought, its ecm is totally different than the ecm currently in my truck. The van also has a 4L80E trans I may utlize depending on whats going to be less work.
