I primed the engine while on the stand and noticed it pushing oil from a crank bolt hole. Mounted the flywheel with arp fasteners and thread sealant. Put it all back together and a leak is coming from that area of the motor. Engine is all sealed up, I think... PCV system in place. Probably a couple hundred miles on this thing.

Oil Leak From Crank/flywheel bolts

is there oil on the clutch surface of the flywheel, any chance it's the rear main seal? I always use red loctite on the flywheel bolts, never had a leak, check the RMS and the corners of the oil pan gasket(there should be rtv in the corners). When I put a motor together I seal the crankcase and put 2psi of pressure on the crankcase with a garden sprayer and 0-15 psi gauge, air should only be leaking past the rings, I have caught many leaks this way.Interested in being a VIP member and donating to the site? One piece oil pan gasket after I suspected the first was leaking. 2nd new RMS that I replaced as well b/c I suspected the shop installed it incorrectly. Then I primed it and saw it leaking through the bolt holes. I figured seal the bolts and put it back together.. Well it's still got an oil leak. Read an article about excessive crankcase pressure causing this issue.

Is your dipstick blowing out at WOT/High RPM? That would be a good indicator of lots of crankcase pressure.
Got a pic of your engine bay? Did you rtv the corners of the oil pan gasket?Interested in being a VIP member and donating to the site? Click here http://dfwmustangs.net/forums/payments.php

Not having any luck posting the pic. I did not use RTV. Send me your phone number and I can text pics. I literally just cranked it tonight after taking it apart and rewiring it. I might have driven it a couple hundred miles prior to tearing it back apart to rewire, changing oil pan gasket and RMS. Something is going on with the dipstick, I've tried sealing it up but contributed it to the poor mounting after modifying it for locking header bolts. I need to get a new one. I have vacuum gauges, coolant system gauges, etc.
