  • 5.0 non HO/Go fast parts

I have a 1990 Mercury Colony Park that I am going to do some go fast goodies on. Below is my list:

GT40 heads fresh from the machine shop
    Explorer upper and lower intake
    Mustang GT camshaft
    Mustang 19lb per hour injectors
    Stock fox body exhaust manifolds

I am going to have 2.5 inch dual exhaust run on the car with dual cats and magnaflow mufflers.

Other than the usual timing components, water pump, plugs etc., what else do I need?

I know I need an explorer throttle body and some other cars EGR spacer, but Im not sure which one.

I am not going to change over to mass air because this wont be near the horsepower limitation of speed density. Anyone see any issues with this?

    Thoughts, Ideas, Suggestions?

Any and all help is greatly appreciated

you may run into interference issues with the tubular headers...

how are you going to dial in A:F with the 19lb injectors vs. the original 14lb?

Truth, better switch to mass air.

Some people use the amustsng DA-1 ecu that is programmed stock for 19lb injectors and speed density

No benefit to switch to mass air that I can find if I use the right ecu

It has 3.55's and a trac loc diff already installed from the factory

You could also use a Lincoln Mark VII ECM. You'll have to re-arrange the injector harness for the correct firing order

3.73's would be better, but you really probably need to go with some 4.10's if you are planning to do anything other than make a bunch of noise.

The car has a 4 speed automatic, 4.10's will be done probably over the winter once all the engine swap parts have all the kinks out of them.
