  • anyone recommend a good two post lift installer?

Getting one delivered sunday and need to schedule for next week some time.

Any recommendations on good installers would be great.

Also, if you have used them, idea on price too.

    Thanks

I do my own. Buy a nice hammer drill, get the right concrete bits and then order a rebar cutter from grainger. Each of mine took about 3 hours total with electrical connections. About the only part that sucked was the upper cross bar and that took two people as it was heavy and I only had a 6' ladder at the time.

If you can read instructions and understand how to use a 4' level and have the tools mentioned above, just do it yourself.

Rent a Hilti hammer drill - will come with a bit. All holes can be drilled in less than 5 minutes. I was amazed how well a good hammer drill worked.

until you hit rebar. If you don't have a rebar cutter, you will spend 2 hours on one hole IF you ever make it through and haven't turned a 3/4" hole into a 1"+ hole!

Did mine myself too. Took about 3-4 hrs with the help of my wife once or twice. Pretty easy overall. I just bought a hammer drill from hf and it worked great

Shopping for a 2 post lift

I got a 2 car garage with 10 foot ceilings, a high lift garage door, and the 220 volt box already in place. For usage I got 2 cars and a 3/4 ton truck so I'm thinking to get a 2 post 9K asymmetrical lift.

Questions for those with more experience

                          1. Free shipping and packaged at 1700+ pounds how do you get it off the truck trailer and up a slight inclined driveway? forklift rental?

                          2. I'm leaning towards the Bend-Pak brand (XPR-9S) from past experience. Are there other more affordable and reliable brands?

                          3. I can do the install but would welcome help if someone is interested. Reasonable payment and/or pizza and beer could be provided.

                          Brad
