  • Rivet Nut Tool, who has one?

Anyone have a rivet nut install tool they can loan for a couple weeks?

I would prefer one of the highspeed electric ones but will settle for a hand operated manual one.

I need to set 3/8"-16 and #10-32 rivet nuts.

Are you trying to set alum or steel ones? I've got the cheapo one, but I think it just does alum. You're more than welcome to try it.

Are the handheld ones the same as the sets for rivets with just different mandrels? I have a regular rivet setter.

Do you have a name or link to it online? I have searched and found some homemade ones that I might be able to construct.

Charles, I am trying to set some steel ones.

You know, I might just do that.

But I need to get my shed wired and for 220v, then put a compressor in there.

Right now I am looking at 3/8"-16 for brackets and such and #10-32 for fuel/oil/water line and battery cable clamps.

Mine just harbor freight cheapo, but it works great. Mandrel for each size and its different than a rivet setter.

                        Manual, air or electric?

I don't mind owning a harbor freight tool for something that I don't foresee continuing to use to make me money.
