...I have a question.

I know that the condenser will get warm because, well, that's where heat gets exchanged. But mine gets pretty hot.
What would cause this?

Stock (Lincoln) compressor (high miles on it), 134 conversion several years ago, recently recharger (vacuum and recharge).

It will get hot enough to make you not want to touch it normaly. It will burn if you try to grab it.
