I would throw a 1.7L Kenne Bell on it and 3.73s and call it done.

My 03 GT was putting down 272 RWHP with pullies, Accufab intake, and longtubes/offroadX/Magnaflow catback.

I put a 1.7L KB on it and it went to 401 RWHP 424 RWTQ. It was a fun damn car, but traction was a bitch.

        viola !!!

Even if you lose the argument you still win !!

i don't remember looking at what rpm I shifted your car today. Just going on feel and keeping an eye on traffic, it kept pulling pretty damn hard in third then hitting forth it kept going until we ran out of room. I really liked the new 4-5-6s. Get the speedo calibrated so you can really see what its doing.

Cool. It felt really good. You got my vote for a supercharger.

there must have been some outside variables then.

nope, there wasnt. Also, when I went to 355s, I went from 26in to 28in tall tires. I thought I would slow it down myself.

The variable is the type of engine. A 5.0 pushrod at 7000 rpms = BOOM. A 4V needs more rpms.

That depends on his powerband range and max RPM... along with tire size. You could also argue that the higher gear (3.73) would never get the full potential of his power band.

With a blower if you make decent power and run the 4.56s you probably won't be able to finish a 1/4 without having to shift into 5th unless you run a taller tire. 1/8 mile should be ok because even if you have to hit 4th it's not such a big drop in rpm like 4th to 5th. I have 4.10s in my '00 and before I got the 10-pt cage in it (and added a bunch of weight and slowed it down) I was hitting the limiter just before the stripe in 3rd in the 1/8 and in 4th in the 1/4 running a 26" tire. Your car has a little more rpm than mine; at 6500 rpm I think I was doing 96 in 3rd and 127 in 4th IIRC.
