Why are some brands like Hawk $150+ for ceramic, and AutoZone $50? Is it worth paying extra? BTW this will be going on some 03 Cobra brakes.

Another vote for Wagners. Aside from some problems about 5 years ago when they changed their manufacturing process and tried to avoid telling anyone, they've always been a great brand. I've used them on countless cars and sold them to countless customers, and they work great.

Because they know all they sold ya was a guaranteed piece of shit. That's all it is, isn't it? Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed, I will. I got spare time. But for now, for your customer's sake, for your daughter's sake, ya might wanna think about buying a quality product from me."If I asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses." - Henry Ford

Some3 of the pad mfg.s cast their own material. IIRC Hawk does and a few others.
Otherwise Distex (not sure of the spelling) makes most everyone's pads and shoes.
Mets, ceramic non orgo were done in L.A. while the asbestos stuff up in Canada.
