  • Camber angle with coil-overs...?

I know the geometry of your front suspsion is changed with coil overs due to the springs being moved to a different spot and all, but i have caster/camber plates adjusted to full negative camber as far as they can go and my actual wheels are still sitting at slight positive camber and wearing out the outside of my tires. When i had regular lowering coil springs on the stock factory front control arms, my caster camber plates were barely adjusted inward (towards the engine) and i still achieved a slight 1-2 degree negative camber with my tires.... ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS PROBLEM???????

Moving to coilovers doesn't change the geometry, did you change control arms? Sounds like they are too short.

did your ride height change, that will change your camber

not really, half and inch or so...i still dont see how the camber could be so different.

Is your tire hitting the spring?

I have that problem, Ive gotta cut out part of the shock tower to get more movement on the cc plates. Gonna take a fucken plasma cutter to it when the time comes, make the hole much larger. lmao I want to run about -1.5 degrees, right now it is -.1 maxed out.

I have lowering springs and have this issue but I'm too far negative on each side and there isn't enough there to bring back in. I think one side is 2.2 and the other is 1.8.

Or maybe it's something else. lol

Are the mounting bolt holes on the strut slotted where it attaches to the spindle ?

I'm not sure if it's slotted, they're Tokico Illumina's...might have to just cut the strut tower out a bit I guess...

If they are not you can slot the holes some and get more camber.
