  • Need Front Runners and Install

Looking to buy some 165 80 15 front runners. Discount Tires sells them but said they don't meet the load rating for my coupe so they won't install them. First time I've heard of this. Guess they won't get any of my business now.

I have Weld Rodlites that are 4inches wide so I' not sure if I can go to a 195 15 or not. Does anyone know what the max width is for a 4 inch wheel? Could not find this info on the Weld site.

Walmart sells Nexen SB20's 165 80 15 for $59 but I don't know if they will install them either.

Take the wheels to them off the car and don't mention they're for a Mustang. If they ask what kind of car it's for, tell them a VW Bug.

Surely you know how to bolt on a wheel right?

Carry the wheels in loose. "Hey, I need these 165's mounted on these wheels for my 71 vw beetle. Kthx"

Or tell them you are hanging them on your wall. It's no damn business of theirs what car you are putting them on. I hate big chain tire shops.....

X2 just pull them off the car and they will do it no need to mention anything about what car it's for. I bought my tires from discount and they mounted no issues. Good luck

Yea, I thought of that after I posted this. I was on the phone with Discount and they were setting up the deal for me to come in have them put on. But, I called an old dfwstanger (williamwallace) who now owns his own shop. Gonna cost be less than Discount.
