What is this ? (Wire Harness question)

Im pulling my hair out trying to figure out why my pump wont primer. I have totally removed the engine , harness etc to paint my engine bay. I am on the last leg before i start it, however, the pump wont come on.

What is this ?:



I have two that are not connected to anything , this one is by the Driver firewall, the other is in front of the driver strut tower.

Do you have the ground wire that connects to the rest of the intake. I believe it's orange and has a large eyelet on it. Would have been on one of the studs that secures the upper and lower intake.

Have you checked to see if you are getting power and ground at the fuel pump connector at the tank. You need to back probe the connector and leave it connected going to the pump.

It comes out of the main engine harness from what I remember. I had a friend that forgot that 1 a time or 2. All I remember is it's behind the intake, out of the main harness, and if it's not connected the car doesn't start.

The answer to your original question about what the connectors pictured are, it's the data link connector, for code testing.
