Does anyone know how to check one of these things? It's in a 1996 350. I already checked the wiring through the plug/ground and it all had good continuity and low resistance.

Already done, checked the wiring through the entire injector harness to and from the IDM.Comment

Injectors used to be common, especially if run on anything other than rotella. Granted I'm not a diesel tech, but that what I used to hear about a lot during the late 90s to mid 2000s. After that was mostly the valve cover pass through like stated above.Comment

IDMs usually just take a shit and don't run at all.
Couple of dumb but much needed things
Make sure grounds and cables are good and clean, IDMs like a serous clean ground
Check the IDM relay.
Are you able to run a injector buzz test? Cylinder contribution test?Comment
