Took it out to Crandall and as we were headed to the staging lanes John got on it and broke the rear end. Going to rebuild this rear end for now so that I don't have to drop 2 grand on a 9 inch
We are pretty sure this one had issues already so a rebuild should last a while I hope

Ordered one from them yesterday. Got a brand new housing with GM housing ends so I cam use my existing brakes. Then I got 31 spline axles with a Detroit truetrac posi. A nodular 3rd with 1350 yoke. Fill and drain plugs with a jack pad. 3.50 gears and adjustable lower control arm mount. For $2225 to my door

I'm ok with it.. 150 of that is shipping so I think I got a pretty decent deal. I can't wait to put it in and bolt on some slicks haha

I was worried about taking it to the track and it not hooking up on street tires... or that it would hook up and then break the rear end (I felt all along that this was my weak point)
Now I am 100% comfortable that I will be fine with slicks. of course, now that the rear is good to go that just means something else is the weak point... hopefully I won't find out for a while though!

I decided to go ahead and take it to get powder coated tomorrow. There is a local place that if I drop it off at 8am they will have it done for me by 5p!!! Quick turnaround!
