Parts crossover question

I have a 93 metro engine in my buggy, found a 94 model metro for sale cheap with a hole in the block. I need the ECM, engine harness, and throttlebody with the TPS/MAP sensors. Can anyone easily tell me if those parts are direct crossovers? it seems like the 89-94 cars are mostly the same (sans body panels) but i want to verify before picking up a trailer and driving 100 miles.

sorry charlie, cant help with that. Hollander shows 92-93 on the 1.0 stuff.

hmm. it should be an obd1 as obd2 wasn't until 96, right? so worst case i need to swap the ecm and engine harness to make it work.. does that sound right? appreciate the help dj

I would think so. Hell the sensors likely give the same readings, so you might be able to get away with swapping wire connectors if there is a difference.

gotcha. for $400 bucks i think it's a good deal, block itself is shot but trans and ecm/wiring/head/tb etc should all be usable. i just need another setup to use as a control vs my bastardized setup (hand built harness, unknown condition ECM, junkyard sensors and TB.)

I dont know what scrap is like up there, but I could get about half that back in scrap.

That's the idea, once i have the parts i need from it (engine/trans/wiring/ecm) i'm just gonna call the local parts yard and have them come get it. If i get just a little bit back from it, i'll be fine. I more than anything just want this buggy running right before the summer comes.
