  • T5 input shaft

I have the 94+ T5 with the longer input shaft and will be running the Fox style bellhousing. Since the later input shaft is 5/8" longer, can I just machine the difference out?

Option 2: Couldn't I make a 5/8" spacer between the trans and bellhousing?

I know I can get the correct fox length input shaft but just looking at other options. Thanks

most people use an sn bell. I don't see why a spacer wouldn't work

I'm getting all the fox stuff for basically free though and some people have had issues getting the SN stuff to work with the conversion parts, I dunno.

Wouldn't I need a new starter and flywheel to use the SN bell?

no. Just make sure you don't get a 6 cyl bell. The pattern is the same, but the # of teeth on the ring gear is different

Ya, it's the V6 trans and I have the bellhousing, clutch and flywheel with it. I'd get a SN bell for it but most are $250+!! yikes

Dj and I have ran into this, however I don't remember the fix. He may know if there is a different flywheel or if the bell has to be changed

The V6 uses, IIRC, a 164 tooth flywheel

this is correct, couldn't recall if you found a 164 to put behind the sbf for that guy...truck maybe? might get into clutch issues though

truck flywheel is the wrong balance, and the clutch was different. I ended up getting him a bell from an sn95 and he got it going.

94-95 bell says 5.0 on it. Thats the one you need.

Right, which I'll probably do. I need the 23 tooth one correct? My trans has the 3.35 1st gear.
