When I purchased the car the sunroof had been leaking so I replaced all weather stripping and ran a line to make sure the hoses weren't clogged. The sunroof continued to leak so I pulled the headliner off and I was certain to find rust but didn't know how much. To my surprise, the only rust and damage is at this corner. Everything appears to be in great shape but this is the only rust. It appears the previous owner had tried to seal it with sealer of some kind. My question now is, can this be fixed? I looked at other forums and I've seen replies about deleting the sunroof altogether. I've also seen guys replying about chopping off the top and getting one without a sunroof and welding it. I would like to keep the sunroof as it came with the car. So any suggestions on how to fix this will be appreciated.
