Base idle reset

Currently I idle at about 900-950. When I set the TB to idle at about 700-750, with the IAC unplugged, wait 2 min and start the car again for the reset, the car won't stay on. Its almost like it doesn't want to idle at 700-750. So I have to open the TB all the way up again so it can turn on at cold start thus causing me to idle at 900-950. This bitch likes it like that.What's normal idle? I'm getting tired of riding the bus to work....

Man, I've read 3 or 4 different ways that people do the base idle reset and it seems one way works for some and not for others. So maybe try a different procedure than the one you are following.?
