What is the deal with all of the fox PS hoses, they have a 87-89, 90, and 91-93. I just ordered a 90 no a/c hose for my car, it's using a sn95 pump and rack with the P/S relocated FRPP bracket. Anyone know the differences in the hoses?

I think the fitting is different at the pump on some depending on the regulator on them? I vaguely remember running into a difference at some point

It was on my SVO, but I just took off the fitting and the new hose worked fine. It was different on the rack side though.

I ran across info on this while adapting a 90+ pump to an early Ford.
IIRC, 87-89 are an O-ring type. Redesigned in 90 with a SAE thread flare fitting. 91 plus was another redesign and was changed to a Metric flare type fitting.
Be careful, the 90/91+ fittings will thread into each other but will leak.
If it comes down to it, you can swap out the fitting in the pump housing.

Damn, guess I will have to see what happens with the hose I receive. Thanks for the info!Interested in being a VIP member and donating to the site? Click here http://dfwmustangs.net/forums/payments.php
