Make sure you injectors will support the 408 power, then tune it.

i'd overclock the cpu first, remote the R17 resistor should give you another 15mhz.

That'd be sad if someone made an alias for that, but you never know...

When I google a job I've never done before, I see tons of threads with OPs with minimal posts. It seems that they find out about a forum, make 1-5 posts in regards to the build/job, and bail. lol.

The reality is, as long as you have a proper matching MAF meter and fuel injectors and you set the timing close at the distributor, the motor will fire and run with no problem. Now if you want to get the most out of the 408 and if the 408 is going to want to rev passed the stock 6250 rpm rev limiter, you will need to get a tuner of some sort or take it to a shop and have it done.

I ran a 347ci setup to mid 11s on motor before ever touching the stock EEC IV computer. When we did tune on the computer, we didn't gain a whole lot because it was a lower revving motor that didn't mind the factory 6200 rpm rev limit. It eventually went as fast as 11.15@119 on motor at 3100 lbs without revving any higher than 6200.
