  • Front end squeak diagnosis

Got a 00 GT with stock suspension. The right front side squeaks when you turn the wheel to the left sitting still, or when you bounce the car up and down sitting still. It also does it while driving slow speeds. After its been on a lift it doesn't do it for a hour or so but then comes back.

So far it has new rack, new struts and strut mounts, and new ball joints. It has to be a bushing but any insight which one to start with?

    thanks in advance

I had a squeak from the A arm bushings. I am not sure if it would squeak sitting still tho. I am willing to bet its got something to do with the rack.

Twist the tie rod with some pliers, that will pretty much tell you it it's the outer tie rod. Lower ball joint could do it too. Does the new stuff have grease fittings? The tubes that hold the rack in place are bad about noise too, loosen the bolts and see if that changes anything, if so, replace the tubes. Very simple fix, there was a TSB for it.
