  • Fuel System for the 2012

    I'm getting ready to go big on my 2012 Kenne Bell Mustang. On E85, the fuel system really has to deliver, so in place of the stock system and KB 40A BAP, I pulled the trigger on a return fuel system. I ended up going with a kit packaged by Lethal Performance, but it's comprised of a CPE Triple Pump Hat, Walbro 465 E85 compatible pumps (2 for now), CPE Rails, a Division X stainless mesh filter, Aeromotive Regulator, and PTFE Lined SS braided fuel lines. It'll be -10 to the filter, then to the regulator, then -8 to each rail, then -6 return to the tank. They call this their 1400 HP kit, but on E85 it should be good for 900 or so at the wheels. I went ahead and got the hat for 3 pumps and the extra pump just in case for down the road. I've done some of the component assembly, and some of the wiring, but still need to clean it up a bit before starting the install. I should be able to get this installed sometime before it warms up too much. Thought you guys might want to get out their stuff.

        My mods aren't being done with that goal in mind, but if it works out that way, so be it. I'm sure we could run right now and something would break or fall off your car! Lmao!

          Make sure the pumps are wired correctly, I ordered a return style kit from lethal and my pumps were wired with reverse polarity., had spark all day but had to drop the tank and fix it after I got it all in. Nice looking stuff though!

            You'll notice all the little blue tapes on the wires. That was ME sorting out and tagging the +/- and signal to each pump after testing them with my multimeter! LOL! All of the assembly and wiring connections will be done by me, so I'm double and triple checking myself. Thanks for the heads up though!

              Dick. Exhaust clamp breaks once and now everything falls off.

                        I think a 12 something.... Lol! In Jeff's defense, he's had a lot of issues to work out, like with any new combo. I know he's made one decent highway run, but that might be it.
