    I hit 180k today on my 08 f250. I've had a sct tuner on since 30k but usually always kept it on the + 85 or +125 setting, luckily no transmission problems yet. I've heard they are pretty strong transmissions. Sorry to hear yours is out.

      Both of my crew cab trucks are Job 2. My regular cab is Job 1.

      I think you can pretty much flip a coin on Job 1 vs later trucks' reliability.

      Keep good fuel in them and don't beat them like rented mules with a big tune loaded, and you'll be fine. I'm not afraid to stand on the pedal, but I don't hot lap them. My buddy's cousin just cracked a piston. Our cost on a Ford short block is mid $5k... it turns into $10k really quick if the heads are cracked

        I was sick for 2 weeks then my first load i took this year i blew the head gasket on my 3406e cat. and had to spend 9 grand to rebuild it was down for 2.5 more weeks now this.
        Just for the head gasket, or are you doing liners and pistons as well?

          I did a inframe I dont want to have to worry anymore it had 1.1 million

            AAH, 1.1 million? I'd say it's about time, did they use a bunch of PAI parts or genuine cat?

              It was another aftermarket company. But I have a 2 year 200000 mile
              warranty parts and labor. Even with it turned up to 900 hp
