  • True Street Motorsports and Vortech install

Dropped my car off last week for for a Vortech V2 install with a paxton air to air fmic. This thing would of been done in two days if it weren't for me missing some parts and having a bad fuel pump. They worked with me threw everything and finally got the thing installed. New fuel system will be finished tomorrow and they put it on the dyno tomorrow afternoon. Clint and Shawn have been great to work with, and I'd recommend this shop to anyone. They pride them selves on getting cars in and out of there shop quick. When mine had problems(due to my own fault) they still took care of me and treated me like there only customer. Here's a few pics from the install...

Nice! It should be alot of fun when it's done.

Clint and Shawn are great. My car is up there too again and they keep me informed every step of the way.

I've been to alot of shops over the years and I will say that TrueStreet has given me the best service I've ever had. Quick, professional, but yet they are both a couple of laid back old school racers who just love cars. I highly reccomend them to anyone who is need of a good shop.

Be sure to pay close attention to the circled areas of the one piece of intake. They will tend to collapse with the underhood heat and Texas summer with the pressure of the clamp. Keep an eye out for it and watch your clamp tightness. Other than buying a new section WHEN it happens, a metal reinforcement ring can be made to fit inside to keep it from collapsing again.
You'll notice it when the driveability gets quirky.........check that area first.

Sorry about that bud. I tried to fix it myself, I just couldn't get to the fitting any way I tried to get at it.

Thanks for the props on the Cobra. It's a neat car and should be alot of fun once the bugs are worked out of it.

The only issue I have with this particular set up is being a draw thru MAF setup. Most people that have this system will be amazed in how much a blow thru set up will improve the driveability of the car. ANd it's MUCH easier to tune and it lends itself better to upping the boost down the road.

Hopefully ya have gears in the car now. The centri blower works much better with 4:10s with this particular car and a stick.

I have 4.10's and am only gonna run the 3.6(8psi) pulley. When I up the boost I plan on going with a bov setup.
