Foxbody o2 harness differences

So I hear that there are a bunch of o2 harnesses for 87-93 foxbodies, my car is a 1990 auto that has been converted to 5 speed, I purchased a 5 speed o2 harness from whiteboy last night and I switched the jumper to match the auto harness(I am running an A9P auto ECU), was this unnecessary?

I read somewhere that the only time you ever need to mess with the harness is if you are running a 5 speed computer with an auto o2 harness(will fry the 5 speed ecu unless you move the jumper wire). Does anyone have any experience with this?

Oh wow, I never would have thought about this. My car was an original auto car and I converted it to a 5 speed back when I got it on the road. Its always suffered from the hanging idle.

I have never had a problem by NOT swapping the harness. But i have been doing some reading on this lately.... If you have a hanging idle unplug the vss first and drive it to see whats up. There are too many fox idle issues!!
