Whats with the "extenders" for the engine harness, can I remove these? The black and white connectors plug into some kind of extender that's ~6" long, then that plugs into the connector for the main harness.

Yes you can if the car Side of the harness is long enough. At some point the conector were comming undone when motor torque over..this was Ford's solution.Doug

it was a dealer installed bulletin, I try to leave them if possible, but have removed them.. I believe it had to do with idle concerns but that was a loooong time agoRing and pinion specialistComment
