Chevy 700r transmission

I habe a 93 K5 4x4 that need the transmission replaced/rebuilt, how hard is it to do yourself?
Ive done small repairs here and there but nothng that big. Or are there any good mobile mechanics out there that will do it for a good price. I am located in OC

Replacing it and rebuilding it are two different things. One isn't too terribly difficult, the other is more involved.
