    Right but Id expect a quality chrome shop to fill and smooth. If powder coating I still need to fill.

      Seems like quality chome shops are few and far between. Fyi chome shows all imperfections.

              powder lays down pretty thick compared to paint and chrome...so it will cover alot of the minor pits

                  Powder coated chome has a duller finish and comes out wavey. I forget what the product is called bt there is a high heat filler than you can powder coat over.

                          It will never be glossy like chrome. It's a silver/pewter at best. Sanding powder takes away the gloss and makes it dull.
