  • Quality Honda Parts: Where To?

I'm about to be replacing the water pump, timing belt, and tensioners in the gf's '06 Honda Pilot. What brand(s) should I use to replace these parts with? If there is a known reliable source, I'll go with them. If not, I'm going with OEM pieces. I want to do it right, have a peace of mind, and know it's not going to be threatening to break in the next 105k miles/7 years.

    Thanks!

Merry Happy Season's Christmas Greetings Holidays!

I really can't speak to aftermarket part quality for that motor but oem is never a bad idea with timing components.

In the past I have used these guys for factory honda stuff.

I use gates timing belts mostly. It's also due for spark plugs, laser platinum or laser iridiums. They ate expensive. It's also ready for s valve adjustment, if they get too far out of adjustment it will start setting misfire codes even though it won't actually have a detectable miss.
