Cobraman,
you are one lucky SOB, I must say. Im pretty much the same age as you, in high school. Just like everyone else, I can't believe your parents pay for your gas and shit. If you have the cash to do gears, from wherever, you should be putting that money in your tank, not your ass-end. I've had a job since the day I turned 16, and before that it was other random work like lawns and whatnot. It is fairly easily to balance school, work and a social life. Hell, try adding being on varisty football, too. I paid for all 3 of my cars that are in my name, and I pay for insurance, gas, cell phone, gym, clothes. Don't get me wrong, my parents aren't rude or anything like that, or even poor. They're pretty cool, and both make 6 figures, that's why I'm fortunate enough to live in a nice big house and have nice things around. And no
Be thankful for your parents and do everything you can to help them. And, honestly, get a job. Enough of your excuses, like your parents having lots of cash, and needing to study. And no, I don't do shiftwork. I detail cars and do small mechanic stuff for income. Actually just finished up welding a set of high flows on my friend Alexs car and a detail on the outside. Fun and enjoyable $300 to make.
BTW, nice car. I wouldn't personally have run 4.56's with a 5 spd. Dropping a set in my mark viii soon. Good luck.Last edited by Dlachance; 01-28-2011, 08:23 PM.

Just kidding. I was the same way. Paid for my first car, and then my Ranger when I wanted to start modding it. Played football in HS, mowed lawns on Saturday after practice, and then on Sunday. When football was over, I started working another job, while mowing lawns. My parents did pay for one tank of gas a week, but that was when gas was $1.15 and I had a 14.3 gallon tank in the stang. I also did about 10 hours of chores a week including the 4 hours it would take to mow my parents 2 acre lawn, half of which was with a push mower. I do have a little brother that's 18, got a brand new truck paid for by my parents, and did very little chores, only because he was smart and was ALWAYS involved with school. Football, honors society, choir, and a tutor. While I was very jealous of him, I understand that my parents couldn't afford that shit when I was his age."Any dog under 50lbs is a cat and cats are pointless." - Ron Swanson
