Here's another odd thing my car did when I had the radials.
Behind the back seat there is a cross brace that goes center to upper corner of seat and is spot welded from the factory.
It broke the welds and twisted the brace.. I welded it back and it broke again last week after I was getting on it. Why is it flexing so much?

Would it benifit me to remove the stock brace and replace with more sturdy materials?

I would get to stiffening the chassis before I got too crazy with the racing. Are your subframes small/cheap? You might be able to upgrade there. Definitely do the weld in upper and lower plates. I also had a bar in the rear hatch area of my 93 that connected the rear "frame rails"
Besides larger subframes and a cross bar what else besides a cage?
Welding the torque boxes will be done before it makes another pass.

Justa4banger, he's a kid, he's gonna do stupid shit. My parents paid for a tank of gas every week for when I was still in HS. Don't call the kid a piece of shit for something his parents do for him you ignorant ass.
Denny, you really ride this kid hard. Why? Is he your illegitimate son or something? He asked about gears. Not whether or not you approve of him as a person."Any dog under 50lbs is a cat and cats are pointless." - Ron Swanson
