My daily commute of 20 miles each way would be fun with 4-5-6's !

I'm still debating doing the 4.10's in my car, and I have a 6 speed !!

Can't wait to see what it does with the steeper gears !

I've got 4.10's in my car with a 6 speed. I'll let you drive it if you would like to check it out to see if you would like it.

Cobraman, don't fear the gear in these cars! 96-98 cobras are slugs down low so we need a bigger gear to get us in our powerband faster. Go to SVT performance dot com (sn95 cobra sub forum) and read the gear testimonials from all the guys that actually own a car like yours.

You dont need imrc deletes for a gear swap. Though it's best to get rid of them eventually because they're major pieces of shit. They like to gunk up alot. You WILL need a tune if you do it though.

If you got any questions feel free to ask, I've learned ALOOOOOOT about B-headed cobras the last few years.

I was just giving you hell man. I think it would be pretty cool, and like said 2800 isn't really that bad. I cruise at 3000rpm on the highway sometimes and im cool with it.

70 miles to school. 140 mile round trip a day, 4 times a week.

            Just take ALOT of TLC.

4.56's are too much by the way. There's a difference between not fearing the gear and overboard. You're gonna be in 5th gear by 30mph. 4.56's are what you stick in an automatic car with a stall for the track. You'll feel like you've gained a lot of power but you haven't, and you'll be more prone to missing shifts.

My 97 Cobra ran 13.4 at San Antonio Raceway with just 4.56's, K&N Filter, OR H-Pipe, MAC catback, and MIL Eliminators. It's been years ago so I don't recall the mph, but my buddy in his Mach 1 was running exactly the same times so I can remember that part.

Problem is i'm still broke as hell and can't afford the install; henceforth they will sit here and mock me until summer. My first paycheck will go straight to the install and some new 315/30 DR's Should wake the cobra up just a tad!
Your parents pay your gas tab.......wow they are some dumb motherfucker's aren't they...

Your a piece of shit for making your parents pay for your gas.

Best mod you could get for that car is a wheel boot, to keep your ass off the road.

You are a dumbass. lol. Are you really gonna talk shit about something you don't know shit about? I'm sorry my family makes a **LOT** of money , and I'm not a poor bastard like you. They want me to focus on education, so they won't let me get a job. So how the fuck do I pay for gas mr. Solution? Fill it up with water?? I worked my ass off during my summer job and paid for my own car, off of minimum wage and If I could work, you can bet your sweet ass that I would be self-sufficient. Thanks for the advice though!

I think he's talking shit about you taking advantage of the opportunity your parents have given you. I have a 15 year old (ya, I had a kid when I was a kid) and I'm going to approach the situation the same way. I'm paying for everything so all he has to do is concentrate on his schoolwork and other activities. If he's going to fuck it off like that, then he can do it on his own.

On the flip side, when I do have kids, a long time from now, i'd rather them be interested in a hobby like cars.

They learn how to maintain it, fix issues so they don't have to take it to the shop, and stay out of trouble for the most part. I understand speeding tickets here and there, but to me it's better then being with the wrong crowd and getting fucked up.

That's not fucking it off. They pay for gas. If they cared about how much they paid, They would have made me buy a civic. I pay insurance. they pay gas. its an agreement that we both hold up.

Getting a few suspension goodies. 70/30s, launch springs, control arms, tubular k member and a arms are in the works.. Already have sub frames now I just need to weld the torque boxes and put a set of soft rubbers on it and see how it goes out of the hole..

                              And technically it's still stock.

Hoping for a decent drop in 60ft.
                              What does it 60ft now?
