Is there a hardware store around Dallas that would have metric studs? I need some 8mm studs in different length and will be in that area today.

Do the best you can with what you have.
Be honest, even if it hurts.

It's nothing like the old Elliotts. It is barely bigger than your average 7-11. All the good hardware is gone. No more chrome, stainless, grade 8 etc nuts and bolts are gone. Home Depot is better now. But I have found out in Coppell the Ace hard ware at 465 S Denton Tap Rd, Coppell, TX 75019
Shop at Jabo's Ace Hardware Coppell at 465 S Denton Tap Rd, Coppell, TX, 75019 for all your grill, hardware, home improvement, lawn and garden, and tool needs.
Is real good. All the nuts, bolts, fasteners, etc and real people to help.

The new Elliot's store by Love Field has stainless hardware but you are right; all their square footage is gone along with a large portion of their inventory and products.Handyman, classic car and antique jukebox collector/restorer, and all around good guy.
